Plans for 2008

I usually don't make resolutions but I have been inspired by some of my other friends who have provided their goals for 2008.

Work:
1) join the DC bar;
2) lay the foundations for my practice;
3) develop a "publications schedule" and maintain my writing productivity;
4) become active in ABA and state bar committees relevant to my expertise areas;
5) learn/develop some "bread and butter" skill areas, like export license applications and other related materials, USDA and FDA drug applications, tariffs, etc.

Triathlon/swimming:
1) be smart and disciplined about my training;
2) spend as much time on my bike as possible;
3) start strength training consistently;
4) gain power and strength in the pool;
5) try not to wreck my bike;
6) stay as injury-free as possible (this includes burns at really bad times).

General:
1) try to reduce some of the clutter - physical and emotional - in my life;
2) cut myself some slack once in awhile;
3) read alot more - I have way too many lonely books waiting for me to make time for them;
4) spend more time with my horse in philadelphia - he has been my friend for almost 20 years and he deserves more of my time;
5) once a month, go to a museum, a concert - anything that broadens a horizon that gets too little attention in my day-to-day life.

Stay tuned....
