back in the pool

my doctor finally cleared me to swim yesterday and i dragged myself to team z swim practice at oh dark-thirty this morning. test sets were on the schedule (800 z4) for the entire group and i was not pleased i decided to heed my alarm this morning.

that said, it was not horrible and a nice way to get back into the rhythm of swimming again. it also means i have a significant amount of work to do in the pool, as well as everywhere else. it is difficult for me to not become increasingly frustrated, for i am tired of having some sort of injury or setback that keeps me from logging consistent training time for more than a few months at a time. granted, i do my best to work around whatever issue i have, but the desire to improve is strong and not seeing the results is demoralizing.

but the best thing i can do is shake off the cobwebs and dive in again. might post the goals for the winter season to help me stay accountable:)
