sagging and brussel sprouts

every time i injure myself in some way, i pimp myself out as a team z SAG for the group rides on sunday. a good barometer of my health is whether i am riding or sagging team rides; if i am sagging, feel free to march right on up and ask me what i did this time, for its very likely i have a story highlighting my ability to be a general hazard across the board.

today the ride started at riley's lock and wound through the roads of potomac, MD - a great, challenging ride and the weather agreed to cooperate, though it certainly did not look like that on my way to the ride start.

i usually sag the longer routes, so i can heckle justin inappropriately at least once or twice from my car. most of the time, he can't hear what i say but i enjoy the opportunity nonetheless. it was a fun, uneventful morning and the hours skipped by easily.

and since i worked SO HARD this morning, i promptly took a nap when i got home and just finished making roasted brussel sprouts, which are the total BOMB. seriously. (yes, i used the oven. with potholders. and no i didnt mistakenly stick the burned hand in the oven....)

so thats my public service announcement for the night: eat your vegetables. and give the brussel sprout a try. (i do tend to like gross vegetables that other people find repulsive. this is not one of those times. they really are good.)

I'd really like to know how you roasted the brussel sprouts. I, too, love icky veggies most people abhor. I'm enjoying every word of your blog! Hilarious. You should write something fun and enlightening to go along with your first book!
